Notes Client / Mail: Export Emails with Attachments to Office or Symphony Format

We have had questions about exporting emails to a file format.  The main concern is to export an email with an attachment and to export that into one file where it can be saved on the local computer or a shared drive.  It can be exported into a Microsoft Office format or Lotus Symphony format.
